A film and a digital product begin with different tools, but both depend on noticing something worth exploring. For Omid Romal, those observations come from his work as a director and his everyday life as a father.
A place for the work behind the screen
Omid directed the Danish feature Gadens Melodi and the documentary Forever Chapter. His portfolio brings together selected films, public directing credits and interviews. Each project has its own context, collaborators and sources, so the films section links to individual records and further reading.
The journal creates room to explore those projects in more detail. It is a place for the ideas behind a film, the questions a story raises and the connections between creative work and everyday experience.
Ideas that start at home
Nurtalo grew from Omid’s experience of the app connecting his children’s nursery with home. He saw an opportunity to improve communication for staff and families: clearer information about a child’s day, a better picture of their development and less friction for the people sharing that information.
AYAmail has another personal starting point. Maya, Naya and Raya share the letters AYA in their names. The project’s vision centres on parent-managed family email accounts and a clearer overview of registrations, subscriptions and the online services children use.
These are development visions, rather than a claim that every planned feature is already available. The ventures pages explain the projects and the problems they aim to address.
Film, technology and life beyond both
The journal will bring those strands together through articles about films, digital projects and life beyond the work. Family and a passion for Harleys are part of that wider picture. The aim is to give each subject enough space to tell a useful, specific story.
